Mrs. Dempster from Blythswood came to our school to talk to us about the work that Blythswood does to help poor people throughout the world.

This year is Blythwood’s 50th anniversary.

We discussed the Shoe Box Appeal, and we watched two short video clips showing the children in Romania receiving the Christmas Shoe Boxes – they were so happy to receive the gifts.

At Christmas we will be taking part again in the Shoe Box Appeal. We feel that it is very important to help people who are less fortunate than us.

Our motto is “Children helping Children”, and we will aim to fill as many shoe-boxes as we can to send to Romania and other countries.
