Mark Booker came to our school to tell us about the work that SCIAF (Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund) does across the world.
We learned about how SCIAF helps when there is an emergency such as an earthquake, and how many people are helped to develop their skills so that they are able to look after themselves and their families.
We compared the lifestyles of children in Malawi and Rwanda with our own lifestyles. There are some similarities, but there are many differences.
Primary 7 pupils going to take part in the “Talented Fundraisers Project”.
We have been given £50.00, and we are going to use the money to set up an enterprise project using our wide range of talents.
Through our enterprise project we hope to raise lots of money for SCIAF, and this will mean that we will be helping to improve the lives of people in Africa.
Our motto is “children helping children” – and we are going to put our faith into action as we undertake this project.
